Making Up or Cleaning Rooms

A room attendant has a quota of rooms per shift and a standard that each one has to meet. Stripping the bed, making it with fresh linen, dusting, vacuuming, restocking the minibar and the amenities, and checking the room against a list, all in a short window. The pace is set by the hotel and the quality is checked by a supervisor who opens the door after.

Bed making is the center of the job. The attendant pulls a fitted sheet over the mattress corners, lays a flat sheet, folds hospital corners, adds the duvet and smooths it, then positions pillows and a runner. The motions are quick and repeat across rooms, but the beds differ in size and the linen in weight. Dusting runs clockwise around the room so nothing is missed. The vacuum goes last, backing out toward the door.

There is also the judgment layer. Deciding what a guest has left on purpose and what is trash. Noticing a stain on a chair that needs reporting. Spotting that a lamp bulb is out. These decisions are small but a model that cannot make them cannot do the job.

A typical making up or cleaning rooms episode, cut into the steps your labels attach to.

The first-person camera on the attendant captures the hands and the linen up close. Fixed cameras in the room cover the full body and the cart in the hallway. We film complete shifts in working hotels with consented, paid participants, and the footage is cleared for commercial training. Each room becomes an episode, cut into labeled steps, with success and failure tags from the supervisor's inspection. Hand and object tracking can be added. We deliver in your schema to your storage.
