Pallets, Crates or Rough Carpentry

Rough carpentry is fast and forgiving in the places that do not matter and strict in the places that do. A pallet builder lays deck boards on stringers, fires a coil nailer in a quick pattern, flips the pallet, and repeats, hundreds of times. A crate builder measures a machine and builds a box around it that will survive a forklift and a ship.

The footage shows cutting lumber to length on a chop saw, nailing and stapling with pneumatic tools, squaring frames with a tape and a diagonal check, bracing, lining crates with foam or plastic, and strapping for shipment. Workers handle heavy, rough material all day and work with a nailer inches from their other hand.

We capture from a head camera and from fixed cameras over the build table and the stacking area, synchronized. Collection covers whole shifts in operating pallet yards, crating shops, and export packing facilities in five countries. Participants are consented and paid. Every clip traces back to a paid participant who agreed to be recorded, with commercial training rights included.

Deliveries are segmented into episodes per pallet, per crate, or per frame, with steps labeled in plain language and tagged success or failure. A split board or a proud nail is marked. Hand, tool, and material tracking are available on request. Nothing has to be converted on your end, because we deliver in your schema to your storage.
