Commercial Furniture Assembly

Assembling a hundred office chairs in a day is a different job from assembling one at home. The installer works from a pallet of flat-packed parts, builds a rhythm, and uses an impact driver with a torque setting instead of an Allen key. The challenge is keeping that rhythm while handling parts that do not always fit the first time.

The work includes unpacking and staging, identifying parts against a drawing, pressing cam locks, driving bolts, leveling desks with adjustable feet, attaching gas lifts to chair bases, and joining panel systems that have to line up over a long run. Installers lift awkward pieces together and talk through alignment as they go.

We film from a head camera on the installer and from fixed cameras covering the staging area and the install zone, all synchronized. Recording takes place across full shifts in real office fit-outs, hotels, and schools in five countries. Rights are clean: consented, compensated workers, and a license that covers commercial training.

A typical commercial furniture assembly episode, cut into the steps your labels attach to.

Episodes are per unit or per bay of units. Each is segmented into steps with plain-language labels and success or failure tags, so a stripped cam or a misaligned panel is marked. Hand, tool, and part tracking is optional. The files land in your bucket, structured the way your training code expects.
