Start-up involves checking guards and interlocks, loading film or caps or cartons, setting recipe parameters on the HMI, and running the first product through while watching every transfer point. Changeover means swapping change parts such as star wheels, guides, and timing screws with hand tools, then re-centering the line. During a run the operator walks the line, tops up hoppers, clears a jam at the labeler with the machine in a safe state, and logs output. Shutdown is emptying the line in order so nothing is left stranded.
The head camera carries the operator's attention from the HMI to the infeed to the discharge and back, which is the pattern a model would need to learn. Fixed cameras cover the line in sections and are synchronized with the head camera. Shifts are recorded end to end in operating plants in five countries, so there are jams and unplanned stops in the data, not just good runs.
Researchers get episodes segmented by activity: start-up, changeover, running, fault clearance, and shutdown. Labels are plain language. Faults are tagged with their outcome, cleared or escalated, and changeovers are tagged on whether the first product after them passed. Optional tracking covers hands, tools, change parts, and product. We write it all into your schema in your storage.
Operators are consented and paid, footage is cleared for commercial training, and we send samples within a business day.
